Ida
Anderson, Physical Therapist
Ida has been a practicing physical
therapist since 1991. She has a passion for Pilates and
yoga. She became certified in mat and equipment in Pilates and
Beginners Hatha yoga in 2002 and has been instructing since
then. She believes teaching has enhanced her practice and
knowledge of both rehabilitation and perfection athletic performance.
She is committed to a healthy mind and body and believes that yoga and
Pilates are essential elements to that goal.
Jamie
Erickson, Black Belt Karate
Since 2005 attends The Healing Arts
Center in Menomonie, WI - school specializes in Amma, an oriental
bodywork along with martial arts. She is a practitioner/instructor of
Shirotora Do Karate, Practitioner of Yan Style Tai Chi Chuan since
August 1993. Practitioner of Tai Chi Chih since 1992. Began
training in martial arts in 1976.
Cheryl LeMein
Since 2005 Cheryl has been
practicing massage and Asian bodywork. She graduated from
Centerpoint School of Massage and Shiatsu in Minneapolis and is a
member of American Massage Therapy Association. In 2006 she became
a nationally certified massage therapist by the National licensing board.
Cheryl has also been an RN for over 25 years with
experience in women's health, labor and delivery and pediatric care.
Special interests include: masssage for persons with ongoing health
challenges including massage during and after cancer treatment;
pregnancy massage; stress reduction.
Sue Meyers
Instructor
in training, Intermediate Yoga. Sue has been practicing Yoga for 8
years. Since the fall of 2004, Catherine Anderson has been mentoring
Sue and monitoring her ability to lead the intermediate Yoga Class.
Sue teaches the same style of Yoga as Catherine. Fall of 2005, Susan
began leading a Wednesday night Yoga class at 5:15 as well as filling
in for Catherine during other intermediate classes at Yoga Tree, as
needed. Sue is also interested in meditation, energy work and has
completed level one Reiki attunement. Sue's background has primarily
been in the arts and is currently working full time as a graphic
artist. Susan is working on her Masters degree, with hopes of
expanding on projects in Art Therapy.
Brea Morgiane
Professional Oriental dance performer and instructor
with over nine years of experience. Brea has performed in locations
around the world, including Scotland, Hawaii, Nova Scotia and Key
West, Florida. One of her most notable
performances recently was at Cassandra Shore's cabaret.
She has led two troupes, one in Hawai'i and one in Canada (Arabian
Nights and Arabian Fire). She began her teaching career in Canada
two years ago. Brea was the very first person in history to bring
Oriental dance to Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, where two of her
students now teach. Her troupe, Arabian Fire, put on the first
Oriental dance performance ever in Cape Breton, and included the
first male belly dancer in Nova Scotia. Brea believes Oriental dance
is for everyone, and accepts male dancers into her classes.
Cheryl Zupec
Cheryl has been studying various forms of yoga since
College and is very interested in history and philosophy. After
studying with Catherine for 8 years, and taking two rounds of
Pre-Natal Yoga, Cheryl has begun specializing in Children’s Yoga,
recently becoming certified in YOGAGAMES, an interactive teaching
method using yoga postures and breathing exercises in a creative and
unique environment. Cheryl is working towards her certification in
Hatha Yoga and is certified in Bach Flower Remedy prescribing.
